LESSON PLAN 01

Aim: to develop the assimilation capacity of students by the reading and speaking skills THROUGH word charts that include greetings in English.

The class will be developed focus on pronunciation and sentence comprehension, for that reason teacher must make emphasis on phonemes in each word, using colors to describe structures of the sentence.

Apporach: Silent Way

Population: 6 grade, ages: 10 up to 13.

Materials: Word Charts divided by sentences to express greetings, those words divide by verbs, auxiliary, subject and others.

Product: development of a fluent conversation between students helped by the teacher, checking pronunciation and coherence in each conversation.

Word Charts

The word charts present the most common English words, using the same colour code as the sound-colour chart and the Fidel. Gattegno called these words the “functional vocabulary”. Many of these words can not be directly translated into other languages, making them the most difficult and also most important words for beginners to learn.
